Ohms Gain Calibration

This calibration procedure applies to all models (34460A/61A/65A/70A).

Review Test Considerations and Gain Calibration Considerations before beginning this procedure.

Configuration: 4-Wire Ohms

This procedure adjusts the gain for the 2-wire and 4-wire Ohms functions, and the offset compensated Ohms function.

  1. Configure each function and range in the order shown in the table below.
  2. Apply the input signal shown in the Input column.
  3. Enter the actual applied input resistance (see Entering Calibration Values). A Calibration Step Succeeded message indicates success; if the display shows Calibration Step Failed, check the input value, range, function, and entered calibration value and repeat the calibration step.
  4. Repeat steps 1 through 3 for each gain calibration point shown in the table.
  5. Store the new calibration constants (see Storing the Calibration Constants).
Each range takes less than 4 seconds to complete.
